These wire gage size type “D” drills made from heat resistant cobalt steel are heavy duty construction for drilling high temperature and high strength alloys. With just the flute length of a screw machine drill they are recommended for portable drilling. Furnished with a 135 degree split point to NAS specifications and treated with a bronze oxide for wear resistance and identification they are favored for tough drilling jobs.
