Vortex Heavy Duty thread mills are designed with a larger cutter and shank diameter to withstand torsional deflection. The helical flute design reduces chatter and can be run at higher speeds. One tool can be used for both right and left hand threads and produce a variety of thread diameters of the same pitch. Our helical design reduces chatter by alway having two cutting edges engaged in the work. Can reduce cycle times and requires less spindle torque.
