The center cutting feature of this cobalt rougher makes it possible to do a variety of cuts including spot drilling facing and profiling. When a roughing cut at reduced horsepower is desired this too will last a long time milling difficult to machine materials. Cobalt roughing end mills are designed to withstand heat and abrasion and can be run at higher production rates without sacrificing tool life. The tooth design and flute construction minimizes deflection and maximizes chip ejection. Volumes of material can be removed at high cutting speed.
